In April of 2022, I had the special opportunity to collaborate with eleven other creatives under the direction of REI Co-op and the FAAS Design Collaborative to learn about outdoor apparel design, and to learn about the current challenges in designing for the inclusion of marginalized groups.
The prompt that we were responding to was to design outdoor apparel for a POC historical hero. The subject for our group, Team Tenacious, was the legendary mail carrier, Mary Fields.
